Not once ; 3 times. At intervals chosen by the oracle itself. Each consultation builds on the one before, reading not just a moment but a movement. Together, the 3 consultations form a single arc ; a first hearing, an adjustment, a closure.

The Bokonon casts the Agumaga. Your Du reveals itself ; your sign, the forces at work in your life, and in the life of those who came before you. The Du is not only personal. It is genealogical. What the Fâ reads in you, it also reads in your lineage ; the inherited patterns, the unresolved crossings, the gifts that have waited in your blood for someone to remember them.
Prescriptions follow ; offrandes, rituals, gestures to begin the restoration. Your sanctuary opens. Everything is there.
The Fâ is consulted again. Has the movement begun? What has shifted, what resists? The second Du deepens or redirects. New prescriptions if needed. The arc continues.
The 3rd and final reading closes the Ibú. The 3 Du together form a complete portrait ; of where you were, where you are, and what the ancestors see ahead. It is only here that the Òrùlé becomes visible ; because the programme that follows is not built on a single reading. It is built on all 3.
